ExpertGPS can import and export topo or aerial maps, with no street overlays, for use with your GPS unit.
The calibration required to download the maps into ExpertGPS was challenging to use.
ExpertGPS includes topography maps and you can download new maps into the system, but these maps can only be viewed in 2–D. ExpertGPS provides links to websites where you can download maps.
ExpertGPS does not have an icon representation for POI, has limited search capability and you must download and plot the POI yourself.
ExpertGPS has basic features such as the ability to plot multiple routes and draw. But you cannot customize your maps with illustrations or notes.
ExpertGPS offers only weather update information.
We had no problems setting up ExpertGPS.
ExpertGPS comes with a manual, and an email address to contact the manufacturer, TopoGrafix. There is also a useful tutorial online.
ExpertGPS by TopoGrafix allows you to toggle between two maps, is compatible with several GPS units and has the ability to upload maps, but this task is difficult and requires some technical expertise to master.
